PEARL PEARSON
An Oklahoma City resident is claiming that Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers beat him for disobeying their orders. The only problem is that 64-year-old Pearl Pearson is deaf—a fact that he says a sign in his car indicates.
According to Fox 4 News, Pearson allegedly fled the scene of a car accident before being pulled over by the Highway Patrol officers on Jan. 3. According to the affidavit, Pearson resisted the two officers and didn’t respond to the commands (that he couldn’t hear). This resulted in a seven-minute scuffle during which Pearson says he was hit in the face before he could show is ID. There’s no reference in the affidavit as to whether the troopers knew the 64-year-old could not hear, but he was arrested and then later slapped with charges for leaving the scene of an accident and resisting arrest.
Pearson’s neighbor Sacia Law does not understand how the situation came about and says that Pearson is a kind person. “He’s hearing-impaired. You can’t yell at him from behind his car and get a response,” she said. “I know they do dangerous jobs and they put their lives on the line, but that is over the top.”
Local affiliate KFOR received a statement from the patrol saying that Pearson’s arrest and the officers’ actions were being reviewed.

Being “reviewed”, right. I’ll bet ya nothing happens to those officers. This crap is really getting ridiculous. If I can get the names and pictures of the cops who did this to Mr. Pearson I will post them. Like roaches, this criminals need to be exposed in the light.
How bad is police misconduct getting these days when my first thought after reading about this is that Mr. Pearson is lucky the cops didn’t beat him to death, or just shoot him dead? That seems to be their first response to everything these days. You know what? If even he wasn’t deaf, if he was just a man with a bad attitude who didn’t obey the first command, that still doesn’t warrant a beating like this! Come on, man, that’s overboard. America isn’t supposed to be a frakkin’ police-state. Yes, I know that it’s a dangerous job, I have several former and current police officers in my family, but that doesn’t give them an excuse to just start beating people whenever they feel like it. Yet, I won’t be surprised if the police get away with this. They’ll focus on the fact that Mr. Pearson allegedly fled the scene of an accident and just say that everything that happened as the result of that is his fault. Because that’s exactly how too many idiots in this country excuse police misconduct. All they need to do is find one thing that the victim did wrong, anything at all, and that justifies any police response. It’s disgusting.

Why did you lie to me?
I couldn’t find a trace of equality.”
